Armadillo World Headquarters was a pivotal music venue in Austin, TX throughout the 1970s. Hosting legendary acts such as Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, and many others, it became synonymous with musical excellence and cultural vibrancy.
Fast forward to the present day, and The Armadillo is experiencing a renaissance. The revitalized brand now boasts a refreshed visual identity. To complement this transformation and pave the way for future endeavors, a new e-commerce website was deemed essential, one that not only reflects the evolving brand but also sets the tone for its continued growth and impact.
The Armadillo needed a website to tell their story and represent their brand. As the lead developer, I recommended and set up all the web environments, proposed site architecture, mapped out user experiences, oversaw development, and ensured adherence to general best practices throughout the project.
The website had a design focus on bold typography and vibrant colors. It included several key features, such as a customized WooCommerce shop that seamlessly integrated with their fulfillment vendor, an artist directory complete with individual bio pages, and an events calendar designed to spotlight partner shows.
