iZotope is a leader in the music tech and audio space. Responsible for creating some of the most successful, widely used audio plug-ins today. Their software is used at every step in the music production process, by people of all skill levels, from hobbyists all the way to Grammy Award winning producers and engineers.
As manager of visual design at iZotope, my team and I were responsible for the art direction and production of all customer facing marketing collateral. This included product launches, monthly sales campaigns, and events.
Additionally, we designed, built, and maintained the experiences and templates that were used across various marketing channels including web, email, paid, and social media.
One of the goals of the visual design team was to empower the greater marketing team to be more self-sufficient when creating assets. We would do this by creating various templates and provide guidelines within tools like Canva, while holding regular training around usage and best practices.
Some examples of templates we would design for might include various emails, display ads, blog posts, artist preset packs, video series thumbnails, flash sales and more.
Along with coming up with the creative concept for product launches and campaigns, I would work with photographers and product managers on photoshoots for both our software and hardware products. This work included scheduling, creating a shot list, sourcing models and locations for the shoot and art direction. These images would then be used throughout a campaign or product launch as well as evergreen marketing materials.
